Costco Blueberry Lemon Loaf - Calories, Review, FAQ
Kirkland Signature Lemon Blueberry Loaf at Costco
I’ve heard a lot of hype about Costco Bakery’s new Lemon Blueberry Loaf lately, and I finally spotted it at my local Costco, so I had to pick it up. I’m a big fan of the lemon and blueberry combo, so I was super excited to try this one.
My local Costco had these up front at the entrance of the warehouse as well as in the Bakery section near the round cakes, danishes, and apple pies.
By popular demand, I’ve also included the nutrition facts and calories for Costco lemon blueberry loaf in this post. If you want additional calorie information for the rest of the Costco bakery lineup checkout my Costco Bakery nutrition and calorie guide.

What exactly is In Costco's Blueberry Lemon Loaf?
Costco calls this a loaf, but don’t let the name fool you. Loaf is a very gentle name for what is essentially a pound cake.
The pound cake loaf is absolutely filled with fresh blueberries, with each slice having about five blueberries. The “Loaf” is topped with even more blueberries, streusel mix and lemon icing, which brings the lemon flavor. (More on the lemon flavor later)
Unique Packaging
The packaging is something that really sticks out to me about this blueberry lemon loaf. Most of Costco’s baked goods are packed in plastic containers or tin trays, but their blueberry lemon loaf is packed in a recycled paper box.
This gives the blueberry lemon loaf a bit of an elevated feel, and the box is recyclable as well.
Costco Cost Comparison
Costco’s new blueberry lemon loaf costs $8.99 and weighs 33 ounces or 2.06 pounds. Not exactly sure why they made 33 ounces instead of an even 32 ounces, but it is what it is.
The per-pound price of the blueberry lemon pound cake is $4.36.
Taste Test
After eating a slice or two or three, I have to say the blueberry lemon loaf is pretty darn good. I have a thing for blueberry and lemon flavor, so this was almost guaranteed to be a winner for me.
The pound cake was moderately moist, and the blueberries in every bite were a great addition. I have no complaints about the amount or taste of the blueberry.
I’m not a big sweets guy, so I lean towards the tangy, but I did find the blueberry lemon loaf to be a little sweet for my taste. The upper crust portion was very sweet and had a feel similar to that of Costco muffins, specifically the coffee cake flavor.
Where's The Lemon Flavor?
My major complaint with the blueberry lemon loaf is the lack of lemon flavor. After tasting a few slices, it was quite hard to pick out the lemon flavor, and I could barely notice it.
The sign at Costco does say the loaf is made with lemon batter and lemon icing, but the flavor is sparse. I definitely wouldn’t have put lemon in the name, considering how light the flavor is.
Overall I really enjoyed the blueberry lemon loaf, and it won’t last long at my house.
Costco's Blueberry Lemon Loaf Calories and Nutrition
Most items from the Costco bakery don’t have the best nutritional profile, and their Blueberry Lemon Loaf is no exception. One serving size is 1/10th of the loaf and has 340 calories. The 340 calories come from 18 grams of fat, 42 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of protein. The full nutritional profile is as follows.
So obviously, this isn’t the best nutritional profile, but this is expected as it can be considered a dessert item. I have no problem eating this for breakfast, but it isn’t something that I would want to do regularly.
The entire 33-ounce blueberry lemon loaf from Costco contains 3400 calories.

I was hoping to see the full list of ingredients, in particular, the type of fat used. If butter is not used, i have found the baked good is not worth the calories. Would you please update the screenshot to show that?
Hey Pat, I have added a screenshot with the full list of ingredients. I hope that helps!
