I continued to do some research, and there seems to be quite a bit of misinformation floating around about how many slices are in a Costco pizza and how big are the pizza slices.

What Type of Pizza Does Costco Sell?
Costco Sells Cheese Pizza And Pepperoni Pizza
Costco sells two types of pizza: pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza. They sell both options as whole pizzas or individual slices, and the price does not change between the two pizza flavors.
Costco crafts each pizza with a 14-ounce blend of three cheeses; mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan. They top the cheese pizza with an additional 10 ounces of cheese, and top the pepperoni pizza with 60 pepperoni slices.

Costco’s food court offers two different pizza options. You can purchase both the Costco food court pepperoni pizza and the cheese pizza as whole pizzas or individual slices. A whole Costco pizza costs $9.95, and an individual slice costs $1.99.
Costco’s food court prices are the same for pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, and half-and-half pizza (available only as a whole pizza).
How Big Are Costco Pizzas?
Each Costco Pizza Is 18"
We know Costco for its bulk buying and large quantities, and the same applies to its food court pizza. Costco pizzas measure 18” and are the equivalent of an X-Large pizza at major pizza chains. The Costco Cheese Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza are the same size.
Costco may lack toppings and pizza size options, but an 18” pizza comparable to an X-Large pizza at most pizza chain restaurants isn’t bad for $9.95.
How Many Slices Are In a Costco Pizza?
A Whole Costco Pizza Has Exactly 12 Slices
There are 12 individual slices of pizza in every massive 18” Costco pizza. Costco cuts every whole pizza to the same standard with exactly 12 slices each.
Costco's Cheese Pizza And Their Pepperoni Pizza Have The Same Amount Of Slices
There is no difference between the pepperoni and the cheese options. Costco usually will not consider special requests to change the number of slices in each pizza.
Both the pepperoni and cheese pizza, along with the half and half, contain 12 slices. Typically, Costco does not accommodate requests to alter the number of slices in their pizzas.

There is a big difference between a slice from a Costco whole pizza and a slice from an individual $1.99 Costco slice.
Costco cuts their whole pizzas into 12 slices. However, the individual slices of pizza are actually twice as large as the whole pizza slices.
The Individual Slices From The Food Court Are 1/6th Of A Costco Pizza
Yes, Costco cuts individual pizza slices from whole pizzas, but they cut them to 6 slices, not 12. So each individual $1.99 slice of pizza will be larger than a slice from a whole Costco pizza.

You can see Costco cut the whole pizza into 12 slices, and the individual slice is actually twice as large as one slice of the whole pizza pie.
Can I Customize The Size of the Slices in A Costco Pizza?

Unfortunately, Costco’s food court service does not allow customization of the number of slices on the whole pizza or have it cut differently. (Special exceptions may be made, but they’re not guaranteed)
Costco uses a cutting guide and quickly slices their whole pizzas into 12 slices. You may be able to ask the Costco food court to cut the whole pizza into the size of individual $1.99 slices (6 slices per pizza), but this will be up to the food court employee and their workload. Just expect each whole pizza from Costco to come with 12 individual slices.

A Whole Costco Pizza Can Feed 5 Adults
It’s challenging to figure out how many Costco pizzas you need for a party. Everybody eats a different amount, so answering the question of how many people does a whole Costco pizza feed can vary widely.
On average, each Costco pizza will feed approximately 5 full grown adults. Each person eats about two slices, so this number builds in a little buffer to ensure you don’t run out of food. That being said, it’s probably wise to order an extra pizza; this nobody fights about the last slice and if there’s extra, you get some leftovers.
Costco pizza is an excellent option at any party or gathering, but if you want a little more variety, you can always check out the Costco catering menu.
