Milton’s Cauliflower Crust Roasted Vegetable Pizza at Costco

On my quest to try all of the frozen pizzas from Costco, I finally got my hands on Milton’s cauliflower crust roasted vegetable pizza. This pizza is of course, found in Costco’s frozen food aisle near the other pizza options.

Costco also sells a fresh non refrigerated
Margherita Pizza

Milton’s pizza isn’t to be confused with the Kirkland Signature cauliflower crust Supreme pizza. While both are cauliflower pizzas, Milton’s is a vegetable pizza, while Costco’s Kirkland Supreme pizza includes meat.

What is Cauliflower Crust Pizza?

Cauliflower Crust pizzas have risen in popularity and have become a gluten-free alternative to traditional pizza crust over the past few years. The crust is made from cauliflower that is grated into the shape of rice and then formed into a pizza crust.

The use of a cauliflower crust for these frozen pizzas is a great option for those with gluten intolerances or celiac disease or even for those who just want a lighter meal. In addition to being gluten-free, the cauliflower crust provides additional nutrients such as vitamin K and C.

What’s Included In The Costco Cauliflower Crust Roasted Vegetable Pizza?

Milton’s Roasted Vegetable pizza comes with a cauliflower crust and is topped with roasted zucchini, red, yellow, and green bell peppers, onions, and a three cheese blend of mozzarella, romano, and parmesan cheese.

Costco Cauliflower Veggie Pizza - Miltons

This is a respectable vegetable pizza on its own, but the main selling point is the cauliflower crust. While this doesn’t do much to reduce the carbs for a keto diet, it does make the pizza gluten-free.

This cauliflower vegetable pizza, along with the Kirkland Signature Cauliflower Pizza and the Sabatasso’s Gluten Free Pizza, are the only gluten-free pizzas at Costco.

Costco Cost Comparison

Costco sells the 2 pack of Milton’s Cauliflower Crust Roasted Vegetable Pizza for $13.99. This breaks down to a price of $7 per pizza, which is higher than Costco’s other frozen pizzas.

For comparison, the Kirkland Signature cauliflower crust Supreme pizza costs $11.99 for a 2-pack, and the Sabatasso’s Gluten Free Pizza costs $16.99 for a 3-pack ($5.66 per gluten-free pizza).

Costco Vs. The Competition

Milton’s Cauliflower Vegetable Pizza may cost a touch more than some of the other Costco frozen pizza options, but Costco still offers quite the savings over other national retailers.

Target sells one single Milton’s Cauliflower Pizza for $9.99. This price is $3 more expensive per pizza than Costco’s price.

My local Safeway retails Milton’s Cauliflower Pizza for $11.49 but occasionally discounts them to $9.99, the same price as Target’s.

Milton’s Roasted Vegetable Pizza Taste Test

Honestly, I had a few concerns about Milton’s cauliflower crusted veggie pizza. Would the cauliflower crust crisp up as much as a traditional flour crust? Would it have a distinct flavor or taste that overpowered the rest of the pizza? Would the roasted veggies hold up after being frozen?

After tasting the pizza, I have to say my concerns were unfounded, and the roasted veggie pizza was actually quite tasty.

Roasted Veggie Pizza Costco Cauliflower Crust

The cauliflower crust did a great job of crisping up to provide a satisfying crunch with every bite and was a sturdy foundation that held all the roasted veggies and cheese together.

The cauliflower flavor in the crust was minimal at best, and I don’t even think I would have noticed if I didn’t know beforehand that the crust was made with cauliflower. I was impressed with the crust and enjoyed the pizza more than I thought I would have.

The veggies were also a pleasant surprise. You never know how frozen veggies would turn out when cooked, but the veggies were flavorful and felt fresh. The roasted zucchini, bell peppers, and onions retained their natural flavors and had a satisfying texture, adding a delightful contrast to the cheesy goodness of the pizza.

Overall, the pizza was great for what it was. Veggies aren’t necessarily my go-to toppings, but the quality was there, and I can see how this would be quite the treat for somebody looking for a veggie/meatless/gluten-free pizza.

Low Carb Cauliflower Crust Pizza

Utilizing cauliflower crust for pizza is a fantastic option for those with gluten intolerances, but it can also be an excellent option for those who are on a low-carb/keto diet

Unfortunately, the Costco Roasted Vegetable Cauliflower Crust Pizza and the rest of the Costco Cauliflower Crust Pizza options are not viable low-carb options. For reference, each cauliflower crust pizza from Costco, including this Milton’s roasted vegetable pizza, will have approximately 25 grams of carbohydrates per serving or 100 grams per pizza.

While you can’t go to your favorite wholesale club and purchase a low-carb cauliflower crust pizza, it is very possible and actually quite easy to make your own at home. Here is a simple recipe from
Healthy Recipes Blogs for a 14-gram carbohydrate cauliflower crust.

Costco Roasted Vegetable Pizza Nutrition and Calories

One serving of Milton’s cauliflower roasted vegetable pizza is ¼ of the pizza and will have 230 calories. The 230 calories come from 8 grams of fat, 27 grams of carbs, and 12 grams of protein. The full nutritional label is below:

Costco Cauliflower Veggie Pizza Calories

This is actually very low calorie for a pizza. Most of Costco’s other frozen pizzas are in the 400 calorie range, so this roasted vegetable at 230 calories is pretty darn good. The entire cauliflower roasted vegetable pizza only has 920 calories. Not saying you should, but you can easily fit in 920 calories if you want to binge and indulge in this pizza.

What really makes the difference here with the calories is the cauliflower crust. You may sacrifice a bit on taste, but the calorie and carbohydrate count drops significantly. Well worth it!

This is the best pizza! Usually pizza means loads of carbs and high in calories, but this pizza doesnt follow the rules. The carbs, calories, fat in half of this pizza is about the same as one slice of another pizza. It's also really tasty!!! I do recommend keeping it in the oven longer than the box suggests, but I like a crispy pizza and the few extra minutes makes it perfect. You like other toppings toss them on, I usually add garlic slices and shallots, with a drizzle of olive oil and black pepper... so good.
