The Roasted Chicken Croissant Sandwich with Salad Combo at Costco

Costco sells its Kirkland Signature Roasted Chicken Croissant Sandwich Combo with Caesar Salad for about $12 per pack. The sandwich salad combo can be found in Costco’s prepared meal section of the warehouse near some of the other lunch items like the stuffed peppersSouthwestern wrap, and the Asian wraps.

The croissant sandwich & salad combo will include 2 half chicken croissant sandwiches and a large side of caesar salad.

Each pack weighs just under 2 pounds and costs about $10-11. The sandwich & salad combo is a great healthy alternative to the food court.

What’s In The Chicken Croissant Sandwich

The roasted chicken croissant sandwich will be made with the Costco bakery’s famous croissants and will include plenty of sliced roasted chicken. The croissant sandwich is dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, and a few slices of provolone cheese.

Costco also includes a side of dijon mayo to flavor the sandwich. This is one of the sandwiches offered in Costco’s croissant sandwich party platter tray.

Costco’s Side Caesar Salad

The side of caesar salad that comes with the sandwich combo will be your basic caesar salad and will include chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, and a caesar salad dressing.

If you like the caesar salad, you can also pick up the full sized version in Costco’s premade meal section.

Costco Cost Comparison

How Much Does The Croissant Sandwich and Salad Combo Cost?

Each pack of Costco roasted chicken croissant sandwich and salad combo costs $5.99 a pound or about $12 per pack. This is typically what a lunch like this would go for at Panera or a similar-style restaurant, but the Costco value will be the amount of food.

Costco-Roasted-Chicken-Croissant-Salad-Price

There is a lot of food in each pack, and it can easily be lunch for two! The big drawback is that there is only one sandwich option, and it isn’t customizable.

The Price of Dressing

The one issue I have with the price of Costco’s croissant sandwich and salad combo is that it contains way too much dressing. There are containers of caesar dressing and dijon mayo, both of which are needed and great additions, but there is just too much of it.

Together they weigh about 8 ounces and make up about 30% of the total weight. $5.99 a pound doesn’t seem outrageous, but when you factor in how much dressing is included, it’s clear that Costco makes a significant profit on these.

Chicken Croissant Sandwich and Salad Taste Test

This is a fairly basic sandwich and salad combo, but it’s actually quite tasty and gets the job done. It’s a convenient, filling, refreshing, and tasty meal that ticks off all the boxes.

The sandwich is made with Costco’s in-house croissant and is very light, buttery, and delicious. The lettuce and tomatoes are fresh, but the roasted chicken is a bit bland. It’s still very much edible without any dressing, and skipping the sauce is a great way to eat it to keep the calories down.

I absolutely love the dijon mayo sauce. It’s delicious and perfect for the sandwich. If you do have any leftover dijon mayo, it can be saved for future sandwiches or even used as a chip dip.

The Caesar salad is simple and traditional. It’s fine for what it is, but again, there is too much dressing. I used about half, which was more than enough, and I threw out the remaining Caesar dressing.

This combo is a solid grab-and-go lunch option.

Costco Chicken Croissant Sandwich With salad Calories And Nutrition

One serving of the Chicken Croissant Sandwich is 14.2 ounces and will contain 880 calories. Costco doesn’t specify how that breaks down between the sandwich and the salad but considering these are the same sandwiches in the party platters, and the salad is the same as the premade salad, I can give you a breakdown of the nutritional label for both the salad and sandwich individually.

The Costco chicken croissant sandwich is heavy in calories due to the carbs in the croissant, but it also has a commendable amount of protein at 42 grams.

With the Caesar salad, this is a filling meal that isn’t going to bog you down and put you in a post-lunch coma.

Extremely High Sodium Warning!

Nutritionally the croissant sandwich and salad combo is reasonable. There is a balanced amount of fat, carbohydrates, and protein, but the one big issue is the massive amount of sodium in each serving.

One serving of the Croissant Sandwich with Salad Combo contains 2500mg or 109% of the daily recommended value of sodium! This can be neutralized with water, but it’s never a good idea to take in over 100% of the daily recommended sodium in one meal.

The turkey sandwich was really good especially when you added their mix of mayonnaise and mustard. I ate half of it. Dismantled the second half and made other things with it and the salad and salad dressing was really good. I believe it’s a hit.

I give this sandwich/salad combination top marks. I have had it at least three times and each time it provides me with at least three full meals with enough left over for snacks. A very good deal!

I went to Costco this morning for this sandwich only to find out that it was discontinued. Seriously? I go to Costco on a regular basis for this one item as it is a great option for lunch. I am so very disappointed. Bring it back please! Or maybe a different type of sandwich. Not everyone wants to substitute a wrap f
