Where can I find this bread in NJ?

I love innkeepers boysenberry bread. But, this last loaf had all kinds of weird white thick stuff around the edges that crumbled off very easily and was definitely not part of the bread
Is it a Costco only item? I want to contact the manufacturer with some issues that my last loaf had.

Best bread ever! I discovered it when it was offered as a sample, toasted with butter, at Costco. Why can’t I find it?!

I’ve eaten almost every multigrain and seed bread that’s out there. The Innkeepers Bed & Breakfast 8 grain bread was far and away, the BEST prepackaged bread of all of them, and not just somewhat better, but by a mile.
Recently it appears that Costco has discontinued the “Innkeeper’s” line of various breads and replaced it with “Dave’s Killer multigrain wheat bread”, which in a side to side comparison, absolutely sucks!….What a blundering mistake.
innkeepers B&B 8 grain 3 lb loaf was very moist, (similar in texture to Brownberry Mary Clark recipe multigrain wheat bread) that comes in a slightly smaller loaf in a red wrapper with black highlights) …. which has a wonderfully moist dense grainy chew to the bread…. Not light and fluffy like all the wonder bread style wheat breads)
The Innkeepers B&B 8 grain 3 lb loaf has a very similar taste and texture to the classic Brownberry wheat bread, ( dense, moist, doughy and lightly chewy) but is sliced thicker, and has a wonderfully savory taste and chew to it, and the grains are plentiful and “correctly texturized” insofar as their moisture content goes. It is absolutely fantastic ! ….And man did I eat a lot of sandwiches and toast with it.
However, for whatever reason they appear to have now completely discontinued the Innkeeper’s line which, Im sorry, simply cannot be beat.
Worse yet, they’ve attempted to “replace” it with “Dave’s (non)killer multigrain Wheat bread” ( Green and black wrapper 2 pack) which absolutely sucks. It is truly among the worst attempts at a substitute I’ve ever had presented to me.
Almost embarrassingly so. It is WAY too dry,( the crust is even dryer), tastes like cardboard, and it takes a “work of finesse” to separate the slices in the bag because they ALWAYS feel like they’re almost glued together. It has a rough chew, tasteless chew, improperly texturized grains, and just has an overall bad combination of taste and texture, probably because of its excessively dry presentation.
Bottom line,… Hey Costco,….who’s the genius that was stupid enough to sign off on this change?
Hopefully they’ve been fired.
This bread was THE main reason I went to Costco.
Now every time I go down the bread aisle I cringe at the crappy downgrade options I’m offered . The trade down in overall bread quality and selection,…(mostly to the “cheaper fluffy” wanna be premium multigrain breads) and have no absolutely NO appealing substance to them, let alone taste….And I really don’t like having to pry my bread slices from each other in the wrapper, ( something’s wrong when that happens) which is probably why it simply sucks!
Bring back the innkeepers or back to Sam’s I go.
Costco has done this on a number of excellent products….. even things as simple as the awesome bags of pre peeled garlic.
It’s all about margins,….not clearly visible customer preferences. They’ve cut way too many excellent items and replaced them with “shrinkflation” sized lesser quality substitutes that are more expensive, often less appealing, and have made going there, …well…“far less of a deal” overall….Just look at your receipts.
The most insulting part of it all… is the fact that they truly don’t think anybody really “notices” the drop in overall satisfaction.. Good grief !!!
Get it together Costco, or you can “discontinue” me as a member.
