3 reviews for Canyon Bakehouse Gluten Free Bread, 32 oz
Gail Sinclair –
I am gluten sensitive and a good bread is difficult to find. Prior to the pandemic, I found Canyon Bakehouse gluten free bread which was excellent but for a year now haven’t been able to find it. I live in London, Ontario, Canada and am wondering if Costco carries this brand. Your feedback would be appreciated.

I,too, found this at Costco then they went to another brand. I found it in Gulf Shores, AL (of all places!). It is a hit and Miss when Costco has it. I wish they would get a contract with Canyon to be their carrier. I have not found a better bread or bun than theirs!

I never saw thise at Costco and purchased this on 12/13 and was so excited it I went home and made two sandwiches. Within an hour I was throwing up. I thought it was food poisoning since gluten-free is a choice for me. Everything else I ate with the bread I have had before with no problems. Has anyone else experienced this?

My daughter has celiac disease so when I found this at Costco I took home the requisite two loaves. That’s a lot of bread for a small family so I skipped my usual Dave’s loaves. Big mistake; an $8 mistake. This might be the worst GF product I’ve ever tasted. It seems to turn to powder in my mouth (I made a chicken salad sandwich). Maybe toasting would help. I’m not telling my daughter; hope she likes it.
The slices are small, 80 calories each, and appear to have a nice texture. The loaves are in individual vacuum sealed containers, and it sounds like they’ll last a while unopened. The bag says to use within 5 days once the vacuum seal is broken. Maybe there’s a way to open said inner containers without destroying them, but if so, I failed to find it. So there’s the problem of air-proofing the remaining slices.
